Peanut Butter and Jelly Oatmeal

I find that most of the recipes on my blog are more elaborate dinner and baking recipes, but most of my Instagram feed is easier more everyday breakfast foods. I often get questions as to what the recipes for these meals are so I figured it was time I started sharing some of my oatmeal recipes on here too! Today is a super simple PBJ oatmeal bowl that is perfect for cold mornings when you're craving some proper comfort food.

Ingredients: 40g oats

120g almond milk

120g water

1tsp flax meal

10g protein powder (optional, I used a jam donut one from macro mike but a vanilla or peanut flavoured one would work great too. You can also sub for a splash of vanilla extract)

30g banana

Toppings: a handful (about 1/3 cup) frozen raspberries

1/2 tbsp peanut butter

1 tsp pumpkin seeds

1tsp maple syrup

A few slices of banana

Mash 30g banana and add to a pot with the rest of the oatmeal ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened. Add to a bowl. Thaw your raspberries and mash them up before adding them on top of your oats with the rest of the toppings. Enjoy!
