This oatmeal is a super comforting way to start the day and I usually make this on days where I feel a bit under the weather or it's particularly cold. The flavours are somewhat similar to a golden latte although they traditionally have added ginger and black pepper (and no cardamom). Feel free to use traditional spices to turn these into golden latte oats if you want too!
Ingredients: 40g quick oats 1tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cardamom
200g plant based milk
30g ripe mashed banana
7g vanilla protein (can sub for vanilla extract)
Add all ingredients to a pot, cook for about 5 minutes until smooth (feel free to add extra liquid as you go if you want the oats to be more runny). Serve with whatever toppings you want.
